Outlet Basketball is delighted to introduce the Boorley Green Bucks — our fast-rising development club based in the Botley area. With sessions held at Deer Park Secondary School, the Bucks offer a fantastic opportunity for players aged U12 to U16 to train, play, and progress in a supportive and exciting basketball environment.
📍 Our Home & Training Times
The Bucks train every Thursday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Deer Park Secondary School, a great local facility that serves as the home of grassroots basketball in Boorley Green and the surrounding area. Sessions are ideal for players at all stages — whether you're just getting started or aiming to step up your game.
🧠 Coaching Team: Ben Lin & Gareth Birkett
Led by Coach Ben Lin, with support from Head Coach Gareth Birkett, the Bucks benefit from a dynamic and experienced coaching team. Ben has quickly become a standout development coach in the region, known for his enthusiasm, attention to detail, and ability to build confidence in young players. Gareth brings over a decade of experience and is the current Children’s Coach of the Year and recipient of Basketball England’s Services to Basketball Award — providing exceptional oversight and player development guidance.
Together, Ben and Gareth focus on core skills, game understanding, and teamwork — helping every player improve each week.
🏆 T10 Showdown & In-Club Competition
The Bucks are active participants in Outlet Basketball’s Triple 10 Showdown (T10), our internal development league that features weekly matchups with fellow Outlet clubs such as Fareham Falcons, Gosport Gunners, New Forest Novas, and the Warriors development teams. The T10 competition helps players experience game situations in a fun and friendly atmosphere — preparing them for bigger opportunities ahead.

As we prepare for the new season, the Boorley Green Bucks are recruiting new players at U12, U14, and U16 levels. Whether you're new to basketball or ready to push your development further, our Thursday night sessions offer the perfect starting point.
💷 Pay-and-Play Pricing
We offer a simple pay-as-you-go system:
£8 per 1-hour session
Places are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to book early to avoid missing out.
