Outlet Basketball is proud to present the Gosport Gunners — our dedicated development club committed to growing grassroots basketball on the South Coast. As part of our mission to make basketball more accessible across Hampshire, the Gunners offer a welcoming home for young players looking to learn, compete, and thrive.

📍 Training Times & Venues

The Gunners train every Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Places Leisure Gosport while summer exams take place at Bay House School.

After exams, training moves to Bay House School with extended sessions running from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, providing additional time for skill development and gameplay.

Sessions are open to players aged U10 to U16 and are designed for all abilities — from beginners looking to try basketball for the first time, to those ready to level up their skills.

🧠 Meet the Coaching Team

The Gosport Gunners benefit from an experienced and passionate coaching team:

  • Gareth Birkett – Head Coach and recipient of the prestigious Services to Basketball Award, bringing a wealth of experience and leadership.

  • Leon – Focused on strong fundamentals and building player confidence.

  • Matthew – Known for his patient, development-focused coaching style.

  • Luke (Fareham Falcons) – Supporting as part of Outlet Basketball’s cross-club coaching collaboration.

This diverse team ensures every player gets the guidance, attention, and motivation they need to progress both on and off the court.

🏆 Part of the Triple 10 Showdown

The Gunners proudly compete in the Triple 10 Showdown (T10) — Outlet Basketball’s internal summer tournament. Facing off weekly against teams like the Falcons, Novas, Bucks, and Warriors, the Gunners gain invaluable game experience in a supportive, fun, and fast-paced environment.

🚀 Now Recruiting for 2025–26

As we prepare for next season, the Gosport Gunners are actively recruiting players aged U10 to U16. Whether you’re new to the sport or looking for a fresh team to grow with, our sessions offer the perfect entry point into structured, community-driven basketball.

💷 Flexible Pay-and-Play Pricing

Our pay-as-you-go system offers flexible and affordable access:

  • £8 for 1-hour sessions

  • £9 for 75-minute sessions

  • £10 for 90-minute sessions

Spaces are limited to 16 players per session and must be booked in advance.
