Outlet Basketball is an award-winning grassroots basketball organisation based in Hampshire, delivering fun, inclusive, and high-quality basketball experiences for players of all ages and abilities. From toddlers taking their first steps on court to teens competing at National League level, Outlet offers something for everyone.

Led by Gareth Birkett — two-time Children’s Coach of the Year (South Region) and recipient of Basketball England’s Services to Basketball Award — our mission is simple: to grow the game, build confidence, and provide opportunities through basketball in local communities.

We currently support over 850 players each season through our clubs, school programmes, holiday camps, and competitions. Every session is led by qualified, DBS-checked coaches who are passionate about making basketball enjoyable, developmental, and inclusive.

🏀 Our Clubs

Outlet Basketball runs a network of development clubs across Hampshire, each offering weekly training, game opportunities, and a clear progression pathway:

  • Whiteley Warriors – Our flagship club, home to both grassroots teams and National League squads.

  • Fareham Falcons – Based at West Hill Park School, developing players across U10–U16.

  • Gosport Gunners – Training at Places Leisure and Bay House, serving U10–U16.

  • Boorley Green Bucks – Based at Deer Park School for players aged U12–U16.

  • New Forest Novas – Located in New Milton for U12–U16 players.

  • Eastleigh (Coming Soon) – A new development club launching in the 2025–26 season.

All of our development teams compete in the Triple 10 Showdown (T10) — a 10-week in-house summer league designed to provide competitive game time in a positive and developmental setting.

👶 Lil Dunkers

For our youngest ballers, Lil Dunkers is our popular toddler and parent programme for children aged 18 months to 5 years. Sessions are fun, active, and focused on movement, coordination, and bonding. New sessions are launching soon in Eastleigh and Whiteley, so get in touch to register your interest.

🏫 School Partnerships

We also work with schools across the region, offering curriculum PE sessions, after-school clubs, and inter-school tournaments. Our aim is to help schools build sustainable basketball offers and inspire more children to stay active and engaged in sport.
